Hello Friends,

In 2022, I created this t-shirt, as I was still dealing with residual feelings about being "pushed out" of my role within the New York City Department of Education, after 4.5 years of building FIVE borough offices of a mayor's initiative. New management created a psychologically unsafe work environment, I had to depart to save myself.

Fast forward 2025, I am consulting with a large national science nonprofit and working at a Catholic University outside of Philadelphia. I am doing good work, supporting youth in their career development. Both organizations abruptly decided that my work was no longer needed due to the state of the country. Rather than support staff, there was a decision that my career was disposable.

Now that over 400 thousand Black Women have been purged from the workforce, I am compelled to bring this shirt to the public. Our lives, careers, and families matter. No one is coming to save us; but together, we will save ourselves.
